This past weekend Matthew and I took the weekend (our first just the two of us since Vail was born) and went to Charlotte, NC. We went to just relax and go to a Jack Johnson concert. Oh it didn't hurt that IKEA was there too. :) We did a whole bunch of nothing like reading by the pool. Jessica and Dan came down and had dinner with us and we went to a movie at a really fancy theater. It was nice to get away and just be with each other. Also it was really quiet. A BIG BIG thanks to grams for watching the kiddos for 4 days and nights. She said they were really great and had fun. She even said she would do it again just not too soon. Love you mom!

We got home Monday afternoon and the kids were excited to see us. After they went to bed I went to check on Micah and this was him. Looks comfortable right..?

On Wednesday we were taking Grams out for her birthday (which was Thursday) so we had to make her some rainbow cupcakes. Mommy's helpers.....
Before we left for dinner Daddy thought he would be funny. Mommy not so much.

I suppose that based on the four pictures you posted, I could say that it looks like you two had a great weekend on your own! I'm glad you two got to treat yourselves! The IKEA furniture looks awesome!!! Happy Birthday Grams!

aww thats great! Just think you will have another babysitter just a few hours away in less then a year! ;] glad you guys got time away!
