Happy Holidays

This past week was spent with my familiy in Mississippi. Everyone was here with the exception of Brian who could not find the time to fly home from China. Why was that Brian? We missed you so much. Christmas day was crazy. Lots of little girls running around and being loud. Ok mostly Vail was loud. Billy and Stace left Christmas day and Michael and Christy left yesterday. Matthew left yesterday also to go pick up his friend Seth and drive to Atlanta. Today they were leaving to fly to Africa and visit our good friends the Holtons. He will be gone for 10 days and the majority of that time I will stay here with my mom. I will head home next Thursday so we can be settled in when Matthew comes home the following Monday. It was so good to be with family. Not much else happened except I turned 28 and Matthew will turn 30 while he is in Africa. Next stop Katy's first birthday in March. I can't believe it. Hope everyone has had a happy holidays.

Is this the same guy in the photo above? Hard to believe I know.

Christmas Eve at Grandmother's house. Vail got a tricycle and loved it. She kept saying "Look at me I riding my bicycle."

Goodies from Santa.... Santa brought Vail a Mr. Potato Head. I said look Vail what is this? she responds "Oh it's a tater tot." ;)

Attempting to take photos in front of the Christmas tree.

Riding their trikes in the drive way. Katy got a trike from Grams and her daddy had her popping wheelies on it and going really fast. He then says lets see what happens if she just sits on it in the grass (no support from anyone). I bet you can guess which photo shows what happened next! No babies were injured in the taking of those photos. :)

Last but not least.... the toy from Grams that upstaged Santa. Thank you Grams!!

Katy's smiles are so sweet, they just melt my heart! That is so exciting for Matthew to be able to go to Africa. Can't wait to see those photos! Vail makes me laugh with the things she comes up with. I never thought of Mr. Potato Head as a tater tot, but I guess we all start somewhere...right? Have fun with your Mom this week!
