This past weekend we headed up to Ohio for a nice weekend away from home. We went and visited my Aunt and Uncle. We also got to see a few of their kids who happened to either be in town or never left town. We had a really great time. It was nice to get out of town and be with family we don't get to see very often. Matthew had a good time getting to know them a little better. The girls got to play with some of their cousins. Vail had a couple of screaming matches, but all in all it was very uneventful. We went on a tour of everyone's houses. They are doing some great work on them. They all looked wonderful. Well Ben and Julie might want to tidy up a bit :) (they were in the process of tearing down wall paper and ripping up floors ) We got to stay at Amanda and Matt's house (Thanks again guys it was really awesome!!). They were actually in Florida and let us take over there home while we were in town. Thanks to Becky and Alan for introducing us to a really dumb card game which Becky won. I was really close to winning though. HA! The fourth was really fun. All the family that was in town came over and there was a huge spread of wonderful food and some great steaks. Then Uncle Lundy took the kids and I on the gator for a very fast ride. There were some fireworks which both of my girls cried during and John Christopher just closed his eyes. It was a really great day/weekend. I hope we can do it more often.
This video is of Katy reading in the car on our way to Ohio. It is one of the FEW times she was happy in the car.
Classic pictures of a Daddy with his girls. Notice how Katy is doing some light reading while riding.

Riding the gator..... I find these pictures quite humorous.

Aunt Beth was super excited about the sparklers. I think she was trying to persuade the kids she was more fun than Uncle Lundy on the gator. :)

This was the one and only time Vail even came near a sparkler. Katy however wanted to hold them. :) I don't know which is better.

Packed them in like sardines.

Here is what Vail looked like after riding in the Gator driven by Uncle Lundy.

Swinging in Becky's swing. This was our first stop on the Neely house o'rama tour.

Playing with Becky's sneaky cat.

We went to dinner with the crew at a restaurant in town where Becky swears every time they go she always wins a stuffed animal from this machine and her record still stands. She actually won two while we were there. Vail was one of the lucky recipients of the blue elephant you see Becky winning. She is still carrying it around with her.

All those crazy girls sitting at their own table together. There may have been some screaming because personal space was invaded but in the end they were all still friends.

Katy with ketchup on her face and chewing on a chicken bone. (only for a minute) :)
