Happy Birthday Avery!

Avery turned 4 last week and she had her birthday party at a community pool. It was a lot of fun for the girls. They had these boppers that Vail and Avery basically used as floaties and when they tried to use them properly there was usually screaming. The guys were all brave and put on their suits and got in the water with the kids and us moms just wadded around and yelled at Brian for splashing us :) Oh yeah Brian returned home from China on Avery's actual birthday (9th). It is so good to have him here in the states with us. We sure did miss Uncle Brian or as Avery sometimes calls him "Mr. Brian". Ok back to the party..... so the kids got to swim around for a bit and then it was off for pizza, cake, and presents. Avery's cake had trick candles on it and it was so great when she would blow them out and they would fire back up. She just laughed and laughed. Then there was yellow icing everywhere. Kids. Avery got some binoculars, a leap pad thing, some really cute clothes, and a fairy dress up outfit. The binoculars were a big hit with Vail. When the sun started to go down we headed home for baths and bed. It was a big day for everyone. One of Matthew's buddies had an extra ticket to the Indy 200 so he skipped out early and headed over to that. He said it was a blast. They called the race early because of the weather. There was some pretty good lightning going on. That is about it for the weekend. Mom and Brian are in Cleveland now and we will head up there this weekend. Billy and Stace and their kids are rolling in. It will be great to see everyone. Enjoy the pics......
